News Rendezvous Nigeria's Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, the Most Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, said that he would continue to pray that one day Muslims would build a church for Christians. Bishop Kukah made this remarks at the commissioning of 86 housing units with a church and mosque built at the Sangere-Marghi village of Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The 86 housing units was built by the Catholic Bishop of Yola diocese, Bishop Dami Mamza specifically for the Internally Displaced Persons that the church has housed since boko haram overran about seven local governments in the northern part of Adamawa state in 2014. Daily Rendezvous The member Representing Gombi constituency in the Adamawa state house of Assembly, Kefas Japheth, has criticised federal government's negligence of his community as it has been attacked repeatedly by some suspected Boko Haram insurgents. Kefas said, the incessant attacks on Garkida has left the entire Gombi local government in distress and members of the community hopeless over governnents failure to halt repeated attacks on their community or apprehend members of the armed group. Kefas made this known in a chat with Daily Rendezvous, in Yola, Adamawa state. Daily Rendezvous A court has slammed a N50 million against Senator Elisha Abbo for assaulting a nursing mother, Osimibibra Warmate repeatedly at a sex toy shop on May 11, 2019. The Senator was said to have entered a sex toy shop around 6pm, with three young women to purchase adult toys. However shortly after they began shopping for the toys, one of the three girls started throwing up. She vomited several times, prompting the shop owner to remark that the woman should have vomited outside and not inside her shop. Abbo, who was said to be agitated by the sudden illness of the girl, was said to have accused the shop owner of poisoning the store’s air conditioner. While the nursing mother was pleading with the second man to take things easy, she was slapped repeatedly by the lawmaker. The judgment in the civil case came barely weeks after a Magistrate Court discharged him of the offence of criminal assault.
