Daily Rendezvous The PDP has rolled the dice and deploy its army on the chase board for the battle to sweep the Adamawa a house of Assembly seats come 2023. The party has conducted its primaries to select it candidates to slug it out with key opposition party, the APC and other parties in the state. Fourteen seating members of Adamawa state House of Assembly and eleven other candidates have successfully secured tickets to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party for forthcoming state Assembly elections in 2023. The members secured their tickets today at the party's primary elections held in all the 21 local government areas of Adamawa state. The exercise which is scheduled to hold as scheduled for every zone will begin on 8th of April, 2021 for Yola zone and end on 16th of April, 2021 for Mubi Zone with other zones in between. Daily Rendezvous The Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has warned residents that new stringent measures would soon be introduced in the state to contain the possible spread of the second wave of coronavirus spreading fast across the country. Fintiri said, residents must work hand-in-hand with governmnent to curb the spread of the virus by observing the basic protocols for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 including washing of hands, social distancing, using of hand sanitizers, avoiding over crowded places and wearing of face masks. Daily Rendezvous Senator representing northern Adamawa, Ishaku Abbo, has dumped the PDP for APC, this shifting the balance of power in the state in favour of the opposition who now hold two of the three senatorial seats in the state.
