Reps. Kwamoti Buries Father 5th of July in Numan

Daily Rendezvous Pa Bernard La’ori, father of the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions, Hon. Kwamoti Bitrus La’ori, will be laid to rest on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in his hometown of Imburu, Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State. According to a statement issued by the media office of the lawmaker, the late Pa Bernard La’ori passed away at the age of 86 on Saturday, June 28, 2025, after a brief illness. He died at the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital (formerly Federal Medical Centre), Yola. Described as a seasoned educationist, the late patriarch was known for his lifelong dedication to knowledge, community service, and the moral upbringing of his children. The statement further disclosed that the funeral service will hold at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Numan, after which the interment will take place at his ancestral home in Imburu. Kwamoti made it clear that despite habitual early warnings and alerts, the floods always do the damage an the interventions have been habitually a little too late and too little. Hon. Kwamoti made this known at the floor, whike making a case for early interventions over impending flood disasters.
