News Rendezvous Nigeria's Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, the Most Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, said that he would continue to pray that one day Muslims would build a church for Christians. Bishop Kukah made this remarks at the commissioning of 86 housing units with a church and mosque built at the Sangere-Marghi village of Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The 86 housing units was built by the Catholic Bishop of Yola diocese, Bishop Dami Mamza specifically for the Internally Displaced Persons that the church has housed since boko haram overran about seven local governments in the northern part of Adamawa state in 2014. Daily Rendezvous The chairman of Lamurde local government council, Burto Williams, has directed that every Fulani herdsman that came into the Numan community without permission should immediately vacate the area and return to their place of origin, until the protocol agreed upon for a mutually respectful farming and grazing activities are observed. Burto explained that at a recent security meeting held at Numan, Demsa and Lamurde, an agreement was reached that herders coming into the Numan community must liase with the local Fulani leaders in order to obtain permission to carry out their activities in peace in the area. Kefas said, the incessant attacks on Garkida has left the entire Gombi local government in distress and members of the community hopeless over governnents failure to halt repeated attacks on their community or apprehend members of the armed group. Daily Rendezvous The lawmaker representing Gombi Constituency in the Adamawa state house of  assembly, Japhet Kefas, has called for immediate military intervention in Garkida to forestll a possible second attack by the Boko haram insurgents on Garkida. Kefas said local sightngs suggests that some Boko Haram fighters have been spotted in 9 trucks around kalamba, in the outskirts of Garkda, Saturday evening. He explained that the sightings has triggered panic and unrest in the community adding that movements was similar to the kind which the insurgents made in the attack on Garkida on the eve of Christmas. Security: Again, Boko Haram Kill 110 Farmers in Koshobe, Borno-UN

Daily Rendezvous The United Nations has condemned in totality, the killing of about 110 farmers in Koshobe, in Jere Local government of Borno State, North East Nigeria. United nations states that, about 110 farmers who were harvesting their crops were ruthlessly murdered by non state armed groups and that several women might have been kidnapped. This is contained in press statement issued by the UN humanitarian coordinator, Edward Kallon and made available to Daily Rendezvous, Sunday. Daily Rendezvous Seven policemen and three soldiers killed as Boko haram terrorists attack Borno Governor, Babagana Zulum’s convoy Eight policemen, three soldiers, and four Civilian Joint Task Force operatives were killed after the convoy of the Borno state governor, Babagana Zulum, was again attacked by Boko Haram terrorists along the Baga Highway in the state on Friday, September 25. According to reports, the governor had left Maiduguri for Baga to prepare for the planned return of internally displaced persons from Maiduguri to the camps in Baga when his convoy was attacked by the terrorists. The attack comes barely two months after Governor Zulum was attacked around the same axis by the insurgents on his way from Baga.

1 Person Killed, 6 Abducted  As Armed Men Attack Action Against Hunger Convoy

By Billy Graham Abel Yola Action Against Hunger has decried the death of one of its staff and six others who were abducted and are yet to be found, following an attack on its aid convoy enroute Damasak, in Borno, on Thursday. This is contained in a statement issued by the Country Director of Action Against Hunger, Shashwat Saraf, Friday. Saraf said, "On Thursday 18 July, 2019, a convoy of vehicles was attacked on the road to Damasak, Borno state, Nigeria. "One of the drivers was killed, while one Action Against Hunger staff member, two of the drivers and three health workers are missing. "We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident as these are colleagues dedicated to providing life-saving assistance to individuals and families affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the north east of Nigeria."
