APC Crisis Thickens As Party Top Echelon Fires Bilal, Outlines 23 Offences for Impeachment
Daily Rendezvous - Appoints Taddawus Acting Chairman Twenty-five members of the state executive committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have today impeached the chairman of the party Ibrahim Bilal. The committee cited gross abuse, corruption, dereliction of duty, embezzlement of party properties, usurbing party properties for his personal reasons,antipaty activities, among other infractions levelled against him. The SEC members also unanimously endorsed the deputy chairman, Samaila Taddawus as acting chairman. In his acceptance speech, the new acting chairman vowed to reconcile aggrieved members and refocused the party towards overwhelming victory in 2023.
