Adamawa2023: "You Are Overstretching Your Limits, INEC is an Independent Body-Group Warns IPAC

Image
Daily Rendezvous  A statement released on Sunday by the Adamawa Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), signed by it's Chairman, Hon. Bello Babajo is totally out of line with it's responsibility and role, as a body that offers advisories to political parties.  We find the statement laced with a hidden motive as well as designed to threaten the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. mahmoud Yakubu using a common and over flogged bait.  Why would the Adamawa IPAC chairman weaponise violence in his statement? What is the essence of suggesting a break down of law and order in a bid to frighten INEC towards carrying out its bidding? We advice Bello Babajo to restrain himself and Adamawa IPAC from creating an atmosphere that will suggest unrest. We believe that INEC should be allowed to carry out its constitutional mandate as stipulated by law without any undue influence and pressure.  Babajo and his Adamawa IPAC can go ahead and...

BURGUMA'S DEFECTIVE AND MYOPIC PREDICTION NOT A THREAT TO BINANI'S SUPPORT BASE

Image
Daily Rendezvous  The Binani campaign organisation is not surprised to read a misleading and false prediction of the Adamawa Governorship election of March 18th from   a former lawmaker Hon. Mamman Hassan Burguma who is drowning and seeking attention from the outgoing Government of the Peoples Democratic Party in the State.  Burguma's claim that Binani lacks capacity to Govern Adamawa State is laughable, for a lawmaker who failed to secure re-election from a meagre 6 wards to think he has a voice and political standing to speak about a former house of representatives member, and a serving senator who against all odds won a keenly contested Governorship primary election and has dramatically changed the political landscape of the state is only self deceiving and hypocritical. It was Binani's victory that pushed the Fintiri led administration to change its Deputy Governorship candidate with a woman, it was the strong movement of Binani's support that forced ...

NYLF had earlier in 2022 after the PDP presidential primaries threw the weight of it's support behind PDP 's presidential candidate Alh. Atiku Abubakar until now that it has decided to back away from the AtikuOkowa presidential bid. Would PDP and Atiku survive this defection from its ranks by northern group? Image
Daily Rendezvous  The director general of media to Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has fired back at Adamawa’s former commissioner for information, Ahmad Sajoh, describing him as a ‘tenant’ in the All Progressive Congress (APC). In a statement he signed on Sunday, Mr Sajoh said that the PDP-led state government in Adamawa is worried about how many people will show up to see the APC candidate for governor, which is why they are not letting the party use Ribadu Square in Yola. But Mr Kumangar, in reaction to Mr Sajoh’s remarks, said the ex-Adamawa information commissioner was ungrateful to those that had  helped him in the past, and as such, no amount of vituperation against the Fintiri-led government will help garner votes for the candidate of the APC in Adamawa. “It clearly amounts to grandiosity, and if one man named Sajoh believes Binani will smell the Dougiriei government house, he should know that no one can pander to him because recklessness is not sol...

Why Gov. Fintiri Will Win Re-election With a Landslide in 2023.

Image
Daily Rendezvous  Divergent reactions and kudos have trailed Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s announcement of his 2023 re-election bid. While many Voters in Adamawa are glad that the governor will seek re-election in 2023 and expressed readiness to support him, others especially the opposition, APC think that the governor should not have sought re-election, saying that he will be defeated just like his predecessor. However, so many factors point to the contrary. In this piece, THE FINDER highlights major reasons why Governor Fintiri will be successfully re-elected in 2023. Image
Daily Rendezvous    Solomon Kumangar, the Director General media to Governor Fintiri of Adamawa state urged the APC in Adamawa state to ensure the rented crowds which they budgeted over 100 million naira for to welcome its gubernatorial candidate, were not scams. The Director General argued that the hired crowd at the APC rally penultimate Saturday does not translate to votes, as evident in the 2019 general election where the crowd at campaign venues did not reflect the voting pattern. Kumangar reasoned, “we know for sure that when APC is preparing for the campaign, they have budgeted for mobilising a crowd and what you have seen is a rented crowd. It was reported that a chieftain of the APC in Adamawa said they had to hire about 20,000 people to welcome Aishatu Dahiru. “But it is quite disturbing because first, let’s look at what is the objective of yesterday’s rally. It is just simply to campaign and have people – voters and party members engaged with leaders. It...

This Boat Must Not Sink- Martins Dickson

Image
Daily Rendezvous  “Ships do not sink because of water around them, ships sink because of water that gets into them” ~ Pracin Jain  This quote by Pracin Jain vividly describes the situation in the Adamawa Chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC. Quite a volume of water has been surrounding the Adamawa APC boat in the State, the waters of stiff competition, waters of disunity, waters of If not me.., waters of  strife, the waters of sharp disagreements, but we must not allow the waters get into the boat beyond its threshold. We must manage the inflow of these waters. THIS SHIP MUST NOT SINK. The judgement of the Appeal court upholding the Governorship candidature of Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani which was delivered on Thursday 24th November 2022 should ellucidate the need for the APC to unite because it is now more an existential need than personal gains and supremacy. A repeat of the 2019 episode must be avoided at all cost. We must commit ourselves to unit...
