Police Command Dislodges Criminal Hideout in Adamawa', Kill 3, Rescues 4, Recovers 2 AK-47 Rifles

The police during the crackdown killed 3 of the criminal elements, rescuing four kidnapped residents of Holma and Sorou communities in Song and Maiha local governments respectively, recovered 2 AK-47 rifles and a pomp action gun, among other items. This is contained in a press statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer,  Suleiman Nguroje, over the weekend in Yola, Adamawa' state. The police command said it has rescued four persons unharmed including, a 50 year old woman, Hafsatu Musa, two 20 year old men, Idirisa Hammadu and Abdul Adamu and a 22 year old, Musa Hammadu from the den of the kidnappers. Killers on the Loose: Bandits 26 in Kaduna, 37 in Zamfara, abduct 62, Raze 70 houses

Daily Rendezvous The relentless wave of killing spree has continued in the far northern part of Nigeria in Kaduna and Zamfara where over 60 lives have been killed and properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed. Twenty-five persons, including two military personnel, were reportedly killed, while a riot policeman allegedly shot a passerby and no fewer than 70 houses were razed on Sunday following an attack by terrorists on Agban Kagoro in Kaura LGA of Kaduna State. Similarly, in Zamfara State, bandits were reported to have killed 37 persons and kidnapped 62 others in Juyi and Doruwa villages in the Bungudu Local Government Area, while 20 others were killed in Ganar-Kiyawa village in the Bukkuyum Local Government Area on Saturday. Terrorist Invade Niger Police Station, Kill DPO, 2 Other Police Officers

The DPO, one Umar Mohammed Digari, was killed on Tuesday, alongside two other policemen. Security: Katsina Police Neutralize 38 Bandits, Recovers 109 Anti-Aircraft Ammunition

Daily Rendezvous The  Police Command  in Katsina State said that  it recovered no less  than 109 Anti-Aircraft Ammunition (AA) and other items from bandits between January and  December 2021 in the state. The Command’s Spokesperson, SP Gambo Isa, disclosed this in Katsina. SECURITY: Gov. Lalong Orders Security to Apprehend Perpetrators of Bassa Killings

Daily Rendezvous Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau has condemned the killing of three persons on Jan. 2 in Rafin Bauna community in the Bassa Local Government Area of the state. The governor’s condemnation of the act is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Jos by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Macham. Lalong said the attack was another callous attempt by the enemies of peace to begin the new year with violence. He warned that the state government would resist such attempts with all resources available to it. The governor noted that the victims were on their way from Dutsen Kura to Rafin Bauna when they were ambushed and killed by assailants now at large. Daily Rendezvous A member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Giwa West Constituency, Rilwanu Gagadau, has been killed by bandits. Rilwanu was the chairman of the House Committee on Local Government. He was among those recently attacked by the bandits along Zaria-Kaduna Highway, leading to his death. The Kaduna State House of Assembly confirmed the incident through the house clerk. Also confirming the incident, the Speaker of the Assembly, Yusuf Zailani, described the lawmaker’s death as tragic. In a statement on Wednesday, he revealed that Gadagau died during the attack by bandits along the highway and his body was recovered two days later. “This is tragic and painful. Fintiri said, the Hunters Association has been working contrary to the essence of its creation, as the group is reported to have been showing total disregard for security agencies and for traditional authorities in their localities.
