Daily Rendezvous  NYLF, AWAM Mourn Chief Timawus Mathias I and my family, the members of the West African Association of Monarchs (AWAM), and the Members of Northern Youth Leaders Forum (NYLF) across the entire nineteen northern states have received with shock and sadness, the sudden death of one of our fathers, mentor and strong voices, Chief Timawus Mathias. Chief Timawus Mathias, has been a leader, a visionary, a voice of the voiceless, and a media genius that graced our time. The North is proud to have been blessed with this great talent of a broadcaster, orator, and media colossus. He has lived a life full of happiness and making the World around him happy. Daily Rendezvous The Secretary-General of the Association of West African Monarchs,(AWAM) Comrade Elliot Afiyo, has thrown the weight of the the organization behind the Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, to emerge as Nigeria's president, saying he is the "Messiah" that would deliver Nigeria and the West African sub-region from its current security and developmental challenges. Elliot said, it is paramount that a visionary, just, dynamic and open-minded leader emerges as Nigeria's next president saying Nigeria's peace and progress equals West Africa's progress too. He made this known at the 17th Biannial round table discussions of the West African monarchs held at Accra, Ghana.
