2023: Hon. Vrati Seeks Understanding of Constituents in Numan, Demsa, and Lamurde

Daily Rendezvous  This is to specially notify the electorates of Numan, Demsa and Lamurde Federal constituency of Adamawa state, in particular and the general public that the APC Candidate for Reps Hon Vrati S. Nzonzo(DANTASHE) will be indisposed for about 3 weeks (till around 10th February) due to ill health. The people's candidate had accidentally fell into a culvert on the night of 11th January in Jimeta thereby sustaining multiple fractures on his right knee. He was treated at Fortland hospital Yola for few days before proceeding to Abuja for further Medicare. This notice is necessary because of the frustrations displayed by the electorates due to the absence of their "member Mai jiran gado" for campaigns and many other socio-political engagements at this critical time. Kwamoti Rescues Over 300 Pupils from Learning Under Tree As He Builds,, Donates 3 Blocks of Classrooms to Bille Community

Daily Rendezvous  In an unprecedented intervention in education sector aimed at saving hundreds of local kids who have been confined to studying under tree, the member representing Numan, Demsa and Lamurde Federal Constituency in National Assembly, Rt.Hon.Kwamoti Laori, has demonstrated goodwill by building and handing over newly built and fully furnished three Blocks of Classrooms in Gan-Sari Community in Bile Ward of Demsa. Gan-Sari is an Adamawa community with over 5000 inhabitants where over 300 pupils attend the only  primary school in the community under a tree.  For over four decades, the lone primary school there has been neglected by successive governmentd in the state resulting in the closure of the school during raining seasons as the available environment for learning under trees leaving the students at the mercies if the elements. Daily Rendezvous Former Permanent Secretary and elder statesman, Alh. Aliyu Ismaila, has sent his condolances to the Adamawa state governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, The Hama Bachama, Humon Dr Daniel Ismaila Shaga (CON) over the death of the Chief Imam of Numan, Alh. Bukar, which sad event occured, Thursda, First of December, 2022. Ismaila describe Liman Bukar as a peace loving leader and a contented person. Ismaila said, "My condolences.to Adanawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Homon Isma'ila Shaga and the Numan Muslim Community on the death of Liman Bukar the Chief Imam of Numan. "Liman Bukar has always been a very learned scholar, peace loving, a bridge builder and contented mallam. "May God give him Aljana firdaus and grant his immediate family, the entire Adamawa people, the Numan traditional council and the entire Muslim community the fortitude to bare the loss."

Bwatiye Community Condemns Killing of 5 year Old Baby

Daily Rendezvous  The serene environment of Kodomti village has been disrupted by the news of a brutal and heinous attack of the killing of a woman's daughter near Kodomti by a Fulani herder. The woman, an indigene of Kodomti, who was on her way to Numan was attacked by  the herder who stabbed the daughter to death and inflicted severe injuries on the woman severing her left arm in the process. The woman who was later found unconscious along with her dead baby by Passers-by was quickly rushed to Numan General Hospital. This dastardly act was only a reminder of an ugly past and hatred stirred by incessant attacks on Bwatiye communities. This circle of violence must be stopped through genuine solutions which we believe our traditional leaders must spearhead in our relationship with herders.  The contemptuous and provocative behaviour in grazing practices where herders decide the extend their grazing limits must be reviewed in line with our traditional practices,...

Third Empowerment Project: Constituents Praise Kwamoti Over Life-Transforming Projects

Daily Rendezvous Women and Youths from Numan local government area of Adamawa state have showered praises on Hon.Kwamoti Laori, the member representing Numan, Lamurde and Demsa local governments at the fefeal house of representatives, over what they described as an outstanding-life-touching constituency projects implemented in their community. The empowerment project which is in its third phase for the excited members of Numan, Demsa and Lamurde constituency was a huge success as locals went away with assorted empowerment kits that could change their social and economic well-being forever. The event was attended by hundreds of constituents drawn from the 95 polling units of the Numan constituency where two persons were selected to benefit from the project including some members of cooperatives and local groups within the Numan, Lamurde and Demsa constituency. 1 Person Killed, 2 Injured As Gunmen Attack Adamawa Community

Daily Rendezvous A 25 year young man, Sheriff Yongo, from Dong in Demsa, has been killed and two others were reported injured  by unknown gunmen Saturday, following a brutal attack while returning from LCCN Convention in Numan. The corpse of the slain Sheriff had already been deposited in mortuary at Numan General Hospital. Eyewitnesses, Gambo and Benedict narrating the incident said, the assailants suspected to be herdsmen laid ambush approaching Dong Village in the night and attacked them while returning home after the evening session of the LCCN convention. “They swutched-on ttheir torchlights on us and started approaching in various groups. Girl-Child Education: A 500 Capacity Girls-Only School in Adamawa Now Has Only 17 Students, 7 Teachers -C-CAGE Sounds the Alarm

Daily Rendezvous The Community Led Collective Action for Girl-child Education, (C-CAGE) has raised the alarm over the deplorable situation at a Girls-Only school in Pare, Numan, where a 500 plus Government Girls Secondary School, has sharply declined to a School with only 17 students and 7 teachers. C-CAGE said, its investigation shows that the school lacks basic WASH facilities, delapidated structures, lacks perimeter fencing and that the area where the school is located has been a subject of conflict in the past. The organisation said, there is an urgent need for government to restore the school to its lost glory and include the plan to revamp the school in the 2022 budget in order boost the female chilld access to safe and qaulity education.
