Ibrahim Imam Friday resigned his appointment to throw his hat in the ring to contest the Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. His resignation followed the purchase and official presentation of the Expression of interest and nomination forms for the federal constituency seat by a group of 10000 Youths at the Muhammadu Nya football field in Jalingo, over the weekend. The former Commissioner announced his resignation at the venue of the event in accordance with the directive of the state governor, Darius Ishaku who earlier told all aspiring appointees to resign their appointments on or before Friday.
