Daily Rendezvous The Adamawa State Government has reviewed the Twelve (12) Hour curfew regime earlier imposed on the State following events of the aftermath of the #ENDSARS Protest. The curfew earlier imposed from 6pm to 8am has now been relaxed with immediate effect. People are allowed to move around and go about their normal businesses from 6am to 10pm. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said the prelude to this is the cooperation from the citizens who complied with the directive to return the looted items. He commended the orderliness exhibited during this trying period. He said “we as a people are resolute to move this State forward”. Rt. Hon. Daily Rendezvous The Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has set up, an eleven-man judicial panel of inquiry to look into the alleged question police brutality by the members of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Adamawa state. The panel, based on its terms of reference is tasked to investigate cases of extra-judicial killings, human rights violations, unlawful detention and incidences of deaths of suspects in police custody and it is expected to submit its findings within six months. This is contained in a press statement issued by the press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou and made available to Daily Rendezvous, in Yola, Adamawa.
