Adamawa 2023: PDP Battle Ready As it Deploys 25 'Soldiers' for House of Assembly 'War'

Daily Rendezvous The PDP has rolled the dice and deploy its army on the chase board for the battle to sweep the Adamawa a house of Assembly seats come 2023. The party has conducted its primaries to select it candidates to slug it out with key opposition party, the APC and other parties in the state. Fourteen seating members of Adamawa state House of Assembly and eleven other candidates have successfully secured tickets to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party for forthcoming state Assembly elections in 2023. The members secured their tickets today at the party's primary elections held in all the 21 local government areas of Adamawa state. Those who secured the tickets are led the deputy speaker and 24 others on the flag of the PDP. Daily Rendezvous - APC Institutes Legal Action to Declare Seat of Member Who Defected to PDP Vacant The Adamawa State House of assembly has been engulfed in a bitter conflict after the house declared the seat of the member representing Michika state constituency, Joseph Ayuba vacant for defecting from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC). During Wednesday’s plenary presided over by the speaker of the house Rt. Hon Aminu Iya Abbas, the house citing section 109 1(G) of the constitution declared the seat of the lawmaker vacant by virtue of leaving his party under which flag he was elected.   Presenting the issue before the plenary attended by 13 of the 25 members, the deputy speaker, Pwamwakeno Mackondo citing section 109 of the constitution urged the House to declare the seat of the lawmaker vacant.
