ASUP To Begin Two Weeks Warning Strike Monday
Daily Rendezvous The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP) has declared a two weeks nationwide warning strike directing its members to down tools in order to persuade the Buhari led government to implement the Memorandum of Understanding it reached with the union. The Union in a statement signed by the natiknal chairman, Anderson Ezeibe, the Federal government is yet to fulfil its side of the promise after the union after it gave the FG One Month notice to fulfil its promise. The Union had ealier said that the FG has failed to release N15 billion revitalization funds it promised the union or it will be faced with strike action by the union. Ezeibe said, its staff are also owed minimum wages backlog dating back to 31st December, 2019.
