Daily Rendezvous Political,Trade, Economic as Well as Security and Consular Issues Highlighted Nigeria and India agree to increase engagement to boost volume of trade and economic activities between the two countries.The two countries also agree to pursue diversification with innovative suggestions for achieving the boost via such areas as mineral lease for infrastructure development and financing for term periods, including the establishment of special economic zones for production,manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and agriculture,while seeking the setting-up of Indian firms in Nigeria. The above was part of the outcome of the second round of Foreign Office Consultations between the two countries, held, Thursday, in New Delhi. Security Agencies to Confiscate Trycycles/Motorcycles Used for Criminality-Fintiri Signs Executive Order

Daily Rendezvous Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has issued an Executive Order for the confiscation  of Tricycles/Motorcycles used by miscreants and Shila boys to facilitate their operations  in the three Local Government areas of Girei, Yola North and Yola South. The Order which can be cited as “Adamawa State Confiscation of Tricycles/Motorcycles Executive Order No. 2 of 2022 comes into effect on 6th April 2022 until further notice.  Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who expressed concern over the activities of hoodlums disturbing the peace of the State, said government will not leave any stone unturned towards protecting the lives and property of innocent citizens. Gov. Fintiri Bans Movement of Tricycles Between 10pm-5am in 3 LGAs

Billy The senator representing southern Adamawa at the national assembly,, Rev. Binos Dauda Yero, has hit the ground running at the red chamber, as the senator has raised an alarm that five of the nine local governments in his constituency have been under constant armed herdsmen attack and that thousands of locals in the Northeast have been forced to live in IDPs camps. Binos made the remarks, while making contributions to a motion raised on the floor of the Senate. Binos said, while it is critical that the security situation in the country is addressed, it is equally pertinent that the federal government addresses the situation of thousands that have been displaced by the onslaught and have been deprived of the comfort of living in their ancestral homes. 1 Person Killed, 6 Abducted  As Armed Men Attack Action Against Hunger Convoy

By Billy Graham Abel Yola Action Against Hunger has decried the death of one of its staff and six others who were abducted and are yet to be found, following an attack on its aid convoy enroute Damasak, in Borno, on Thursday. This is contained in a statement issued by the Country Director of Action Against Hunger, Shashwat Saraf, Friday. Saraf said, "On Thursday 18 July, 2019, a convoy of vehicles was attacked on the road to Damasak, Borno state, Nigeria. "One of the drivers was killed, while one Action Against Hunger staff member, two of the drivers and three health workers are missing. "We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident as these are colleagues dedicated to providing life-saving assistance to individuals and families affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the north east of Nigeria." Billy The Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, says his  government is will set machinery in motion to receive back home, the about four thousand Adamawa refugees that have been residing in Cameroon. Fintiri made the remarks when he received the delegation of the Technical Working Group for repatriation of Nigeria Refugees in Cameroon at the Council Chambers of the Government House, Yola. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said, "The state government is ever ready to facilitate the repatriation exercise and will constitute a technical committee to support the refugees when they return home." Crime: 3 twelve Year Old Boys, Among 151 Criminal Gang Members Arrested by Police in Adamawa

Billy The Adamawa state police command has in a clamp down operation arrested about 151 criminal gang members including three twelve year old boys, suspected to the criminal elements terrorising members of Adamawa communities. The police in its briefing said they arrested about eighty six Kidnappers and about sixty five members of the 'shila' criminal gang notorious for phone theft and harassment of members of the public. This was made known at a press briefing Wednesday, in Yola, Adamawa state. Among the one hundred and fifty one members of the gang paraded are three twelve year old boys and the oldest among the suspects paraded are four adults aged forty. While briefing members of the press, the state Commissioner of Police, Adamu Madaki said the suspected criminals were arrested with five AK47 rifles, ten cutlasses and knives, 128 ammunitions and 18 cartridges. Former chief of Defense Staff, AVM Alex Badeh killed By Suspected Gunmen Nigeria's former Chief of Defense Staff, Alex Badeh has been bkilled by unknown Gunmen  along  Abuja- Keffi road. Announcing his death in a couple of tweets on the official Twitter handle of the Nigerian Airforce, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola said, "It is with a heavy heart that I regretfully announce the unfortunate demise of former Chief of Defene Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, who died today, 18 Dec 18, from gunshot wounds sustained when his vehicle was attacked while returning from his farm along Abuja-Keffi Road.  "On behalf officers, airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar, commiserates with the family of the late former Chief of Defence Staff over this irreparable loss.  "We pray that the Almighty God grants his soul eternal rest."
