Crime: 3 twelve Year Old Boys, Among 151 Criminal Gang Members Arrested by Police in Adamawa

The Adamawa state police command has in a clamp down operation arrested about 151 criminal gang members including three twelve year old boys, suspected to the criminal elements terrorising members of Adamawa communities.
The police in its briefing said they arrested about eighty six Kidnappers and about sixty five members of the 'shila' criminal gang notorious for phone theft and harassment of members of the public.
This was made known at a press briefing Wednesday, in Yola, Adamawa state. Among the one hundred and fifty one members of the gang paraded are three twelve year old boys and the oldest among the suspects paraded are four adults aged forty.
While briefing members of the press, the state Commissioner of Police, Adamu Madaki said the suspected criminals were arrested with five AK47 rifles, ten cutlasses and knives, 128 ammunitions and 18 cartridges.
He said, "The command recorded tremendous achievements through the sacrifices of some gallant officers in the command in dislodging criminals in their hideouts, arresting of suspects ranging from Kidnappings, armed robbery, radical Shila boys and the rescue of innocent civilians." Police brief made available to Newsmen suggests that the police clampdown happened when who received threats of kidnapping from the gang reported to the police leading to a crackdown of the criminal elements in their hideouts.
The CP explained that they would be charged to court for criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, receiving stolen properties and kidnappings. All the one hundred and forty one persons parades were alarmingly between the ages of twelve and forty.
