Daily Rendezvous In a tweet as shown above, the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, says he is not part of the agreement reached by a team of northern Elders who endorsed Bala Mohammed and Bukola Saraki.  The Tambuwal Campaign Organization (TCO) has rubbished the announcement of former Senate President Bukola Saraki and Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi state as consensus candidates by the Northern Elders Forum. Again, a statement from Nicholas Msheliza, Director of Organization and Mobilization for TCO, said the announcement by the Northern elders was of no “consequence”. Daily Rendezvous The Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, his Sokoto state counterpart, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and the president of the 8th Senate, Bukola Saraki, had on Monday stormed Yola to felitate with Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri over his resounding victory over the opposition party, the APC, at the just concluded local government elections in the state. The delegation said they were in Yola to liase with Gov. Fintiri on ways to push the party forward and to strengthen the bond of unity in the party. Bukola Saraki, while briefing Newsmen in Yola shortly after the meeting said the commitment of the delegation is aimed at strengthening the party's unity and progress.
