Daily Rendezvous  Proposes Bill for Dredging River Benue, Creation of Buffer Dams The sentor representing Southern Adamawa state, Binos Dauda Yaroe, says he will present a Bill seeking for the dredging of the river Benue across Adamawa, Taraba, Benue and Kogi states as a result of incessant flood that perennially overrun communities in southern Adamawa state.  Binos said his people are tired of asking for relief materials and having their farm produce consumed by heavy flooding annually. He said in tabling the Bill, he would seek for the dredging of the Benue river in Adamawa, the building of buffet Dams to conserve excess volumes of water which could triggar irrigation and dry season farming and eventually empowers locals. He said he would also raise a motion that would compel relevant bodies like NEMA to immediately assess the damage caused by the flooding on communities in southern Adamawa and some parts of central Adamawa affected by the flood. Daily Rendezvous The Director-general media to Governor Fintiri of Adamawa state, Mr Solomon Kumangar, has vowed to resist any move to undermine the current administration of Governor Fintiri by Ishaku Abbo or any publicaly exposed person on account of opposition. Besides, the Director-General backed “genuine” and constructive criticism of the current Administration but not hauling insults on the Governor, adding that the Governor was never at any time opposed to constructive criticism. Fintiri, has aimed a dig at the senator representing northern Adamawa, Ishaku Abbo, advising the senator to devote some of his misdirected energy used in glorifying fables to serving his constituency and his constituency would have been better for it. Kumangar challenged the senator to provide any glimpse of evidence suggesting of his performance as a senator representing his constituency instead of going about being concerned with the affairs of a high profile performer like Gov. Sen. Abbo Dumps PDP, Makes The Much Anticipated Move To APC

Daily Rendezvous Senator representing northern Adamawa, Ishaku Abbo, has dumped the PDP for APC, this shifting the balance of power in the state in favour of the opposition who now hold two of the three senatorial seats in the state. Although the move did not come as a surprise to political observers who have long considered him a wolf in sheep clothing among PDP members in the state.  Abbo,who has been a fierce critic of the governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, remains to seen whether he would be a curse or a blessing to APC following his image crisis since coming into office. Sex Toy Scandal: Court Slams a N50m Fine on Senator Abbo for Assaulting A Nursing Mother

Daily Rendezvous A court has slammed a N50 million against Senator Elisha Abbo for assaulting a nursing mother, Osimibibra Warmate repeatedly at a sex toy shop on May 11, 2019. The Senator was said to have entered a sex toy shop around 6pm, with three young women to purchase adult toys. However shortly after they began shopping for the toys, one of the three girls started throwing up. She vomited several times, prompting the shop owner to remark that the woman should have vomited outside and not inside her shop. Abbo, who was said to be agitated by the sudden illness of the girl, was said to have accused the shop owner of poisoning the store’s air conditioner. While the nursing mother was pleading with the second man to take things easy, she was slapped repeatedly by the lawmaker. The judgment in the civil case came barely weeks after a Magistrate Court discharged him of the offence of criminal assault.        

Sen. Abbo Condoles Fintiri Over Father's Death

The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial Zone, Ishaku Abbo, condoles with the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, over the death of his Father Alhaji Umaru Badami. Ishaku Abbo said that, No one and nothing can fill the void created by the loss of our dear Father Alhaji Umaru Badami and prayed that May the fond memories of Baba Umaru bring the Governor comfort during this hard time of your life. Abbo Ishaku said, "No one and nothing can fill the void created by the loss of our dear Father Alhaji Umaru Badami. "May fond memories of your father bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. "My heart and prayers go out to you and your family, Adamawa North, and entire the State at this moment.
