Daily Rendezvous State Governorship Electoral Petitions Tribunal on Monday, dismissed the petition filed by Dr. Umar Ardo against the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate against Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. Ardo, his Deputy, Amos Yusuf and SDP filed a petition challenging the governorship election conducted by INEC on the 18th March, 2023. Daily Rendezvous The Adamawa State Government has reviewed the Twelve (12) Hour curfew regime earlier imposed on the State following events of the aftermath of the #ENDSARS Protest. The curfew earlier imposed from 6pm to 8am has now been relaxed with immediate effect. People are allowed to move around and go about their normal businesses from 6am to 10pm. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said the prelude to this is the cooperation from the citizens who complied with the directive to return the looted items. Social media went agog yesterday with claims that the Governor threatened one Gambo Hussani alias Nakura for making uncomplimentary remarks about him. Daily Rendezvous - Arrests 155 Looters, Impound 12 Tricycles of Loot The Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, said he would sign an executive order for a house-to-house search for looted goods after his 12 hours Ultimatum elapse at 6am Wednesday. Fintiri said, homes found harbouring Looters and looted properties, could have their Certificate of Occupancy revoked and risked having homes demolished. This is contained in an official state broadcast made by the governor on Tuesday in Yola, Adamawa state. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said, he has issued a 12 hour ultimatum to Looters in the state to return all properties carted away, explaining that after the grace period of 12 hours which elapse at 6am Wednesday, he would sign an executive order for a house-to-house search by security and any home harbouring looted properties would have its C of O revoked.
