UN Decries Killing of Over 62 Civilians in Guyuk, Lamurde, Dikwa in Northeast Nigeria

Daily Rendezvous The UN Residents Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Matthias Schmale, has expressed concern over the spate of violence by Non State Armed Groups (NSAGs) in Northeast Nigeria leading to the killing of about 30 Civilians, injuring 57, destroying over 500 homes and displacing over 10, 000 locals in Guyuk and Lamurde local governments of Adamawa state. The Humanitarian Coordinator said, some 32 Internally Displaced Persons have also been killed in Mudu village in the outskirts of Dikwa, all between the months of May and June, 2022. This is contained in statement issued by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Schmale said, these strings of violence are endangering the lives of civilians and hampering humanitarian efforts at securing and delivering assistance to millions who are in need in  northeast Nigeria. Troops Kill 9 Boko Haram, Foil Attack on Outskirts of Maiduguri

Daily Rendezvous A combined forces of both army, police and vigilante groups under the operation Hadin Kai, have on Teusday, killed about 9 Boko Haram terrorist members, injured several of its fighters, and recovered a Buffalo Gun Truck, 3 motorcycles, 3 browning machine guns, among several other items as the terrorist escaped in disarray. The troops were said to have foiled the attempts by Boko Haram terrorists to attack the outskirt of Maiduguri, Tuesday, inflicting heavy casualty on the insurgents.  This is contained in a statement issued by the Director of Army Public Relations, Mohammed Yerima, and made available to Newsmen, Wednesday. SECURITY: Boko Haram Kill 7 Policemen, 3 Soldiers As It Launches Attack On Zulum’s Convoy

Daily Rendezvous Seven policemen and three soldiers killed as Boko haram terrorists attack Borno Governor, Babagana Zulum’s convoy Eight policemen, three soldiers, and four Civilian Joint Task Force operatives were killed after the convoy of the Borno state governor, Babagana Zulum, was again attacked by Boko Haram terrorists along the Baga Highway in the state on Friday, September 25. According to reports, the governor had left Maiduguri for Baga to prepare for the planned return of internally displaced persons from Maiduguri to the camps in Baga when his convoy was attacked by the terrorists. The attack comes barely two months after Governor Zulum was attacked around the same axis by the insurgents on his way from Baga.
