Daily Rendezvous  The Presiding Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has condemned Bola Ahmed Tinubu's ‘emi lo kan’ kind of politics, saying politicians who lay claim to entitlements and practice such are intolerant. Bakare made the remarks, Sunday during a state of the nation broadcast at his church auditorium in Ikeja, Lagos. Pst. Bakare said, the term ’emi lo kan’ which means ‘it is my turn’ in Yoruba language was made popular by the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, who used it to canvass for votes in Abeokuta, Ogun State in the build up to his party’s primary election last June. In my first letter I pointed out how Gov. Wike preserved the heart and soul of PDP post 2019 Presidential elections. I stated that PDP was nurtured for years by Gov. Daily Rendezvous  A civil society group,  International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, has raised the alarm that the life of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, is gravely in danger as the group alleges that some Islamic Jihadist group have initiated a plot to assassinate Peter Obi. Daily Rendezvous The Senator representing Southern Adamawa zone, Rev. Binos Dauda Yaroe, has clinched the PDP's ticket to run for a second term as the senator representing southern Adamawa state. Binos who polled 232 votes to beat his closest challenger, Peter Fwa, who polled 55 votes at the primary. Sen. Binos said his victory has made him the second person in the southern senatorial zone to win successive nominations for a senatorial race in the history of southern Adamawa. Daily Rendezvous Reprots ftom party sources suggests that the main opposition party in Nigeria, PDP, has abandoned the idea of zoning its presidential ticket to any zone in the country. Feelers from the 37-man zoning committee's meeting suggest that the party is more focused on gaining power than dabbling into issue of which zone the presidential candidates comes from. PDP seems to be in a strong point to grapple power from the ruling APC come 2023 as APC has been entangled in a maze of multiple economic and security hassles. Daily Rendezvous According to reports from Nigerian publications who have made inquiries from Twitter, the company has responded to the government' s action to suspend their operation in Nigeria. Sarah Hart, who is Twitter' s Senior Policy, Communications Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said in a statement that they are looking deep into the matter. "The announcement made by the Nigerian Government that they have suspended Twitter' s operations in Nigeria is deeply concerning," she said.  Adding, "We' re investigating and will provide updates when we know more.
