In furtherance to its resolution to further engage with the critical stakeholders of the North, the Northern States Governors Forum held a meeting today Monday 2nd November, 2020 at the Council Chamber, Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.  2. Daily Rendezvous The Adamawa State Government has reviewed the Twelve (12) Hour curfew regime earlier imposed on the State following events of the aftermath of the #ENDSARS Protest. The curfew earlier imposed from 6pm to 8am has now been relaxed with immediate effect. People are allowed to move around and go about their normal businesses from 6am to 10pm. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said the prelude to this is the cooperation from the citizens who complied with the directive to return the looted items. He commended the orderliness exhibited during this trying period. He said “we as a people are resolute to move this State forward”. Rt. Hon. Fellow Citizens, circumstances that have unfolded since my last Address to you necessitates that I Address you once again. I have moved round and assessed the damages and the extent to which the latest mayhem visited on our State has reversed the progress we have made in recovery from the backwardness we inherited. I do admit that it is colossal even as I feel and share the pains of all our well-meaning citizens. In the midst of all these, we must all resist the actions and utterances of those whose aim is to gain political mileage over our collective tragedy and misfortunes. Daily Rendezvous The Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has set up, an eleven-man judicial panel of inquiry to look into the alleged question police brutality by the members of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Adamawa state. The panel, based on its terms of reference is tasked to investigate cases of extra-judicial killings, human rights violations, unlawful detention and incidences of deaths of suspects in police custody and it is expected to submit its findings within six months. This is contained in a press statement issued by the press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou and made available to Daily Rendezvous, in Yola, Adamawa. Daily Rendezvous Breaking: Dear Lagosians,  I have watched with shock how what began as a peaceful #EndSARS protest has degenerated into a monster that is threatening the well-being of our society. Lives and limbs have been lost as criminals and miscreants are now hiding under the umbrella ofthese protests to unleash mayhem on our State.   As a government that is alive to its responsibility and has shown a commitment to the movement #ENDSARS, we will not watch and allow anarchy in our dear state. I, therefore, hereby impose a 24-hour curfew on all parts of the Stateas from 4pm today, 20th October,2020.
