Daily Rendezvous Nigeria's former vice president and PDP'S presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, has described Obaseki's victory at the polls as the end of Godfatherism and Militarism in Nigeria. Atiku said the victory is the declaration of independence for Nigerians for Nigerians and usher in an era for Nigerians to stand firm and end tyranny. Daily Rendezvous The Adamwaa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulate the newly elected governor of Edo state, Godwin Obasaki, saying it was a well deserved victory and a strong statement by the Edo people. Fintiri, who is the vice chairman of the PDP National Campaign Committee, tasked Obasaki, to be magnanimous in victory by extending hands of friendship to the opposition and called on him to use his second term in office to deliver quality service to the people of Edo state.
