BURGUMA'S DEFECTIVE AND MYOPIC PREDICTION NOT A THREAT TO BINANI'S SUPPORT BASE
The Binani campaign organisation is not surprised to read a misleading and false prediction of the Adamawa Governorship election of March 18th from a former lawmaker Hon. Mamman Hassan Burguma who is drowning and seeking attention from the outgoing Government of the Peoples Democratic Party in the State.
Burguma's claim that Binani lacks capacity to Govern Adamawa State is laughable, for a lawmaker who failed to secure re-election from a meagre 6 wards to think he has a voice and political standing to speak about a former house of representatives member, and a serving senator who against all odds won a keenly contested Governorship primary election and has dramatically changed the political landscape of the state is only self deceiving and hypocritical.
It was Binani's victory that pushed the Fintiri led administration to change its Deputy Governorship candidate with a woman, it was the strong movement of Binani's support that forced the Fintiri led Government to suddenly remember that empowering the women and youths of Adamawa is a key ingredient in Governance amongst other negative responsive actions, which includes the banning of life saving interventionist activities of Local, National and international Non Governmental organizations. So what is Burguma saying? When the Fintiri led administration is merely playing catch-up since the emergence of Binani as APC Governorship candidate?
He should first think of how to save his depleting political value and relevance in just 6 wards (which falls within her senatorial representation) before challenging the political prowess of a soaring politician like Binani. Binani's projects in Burguma's constituency speaks volume, from industrial boreholes to empowerment of women and youths and influencing jobs to his constituents.
The grassroots support which Binani presently enjoys is beyond the myopic political evaluation of Burguma not to talk of his predictions.
Binani's candidature has sent life threatening shivers in the camp of the People's Democratic Party in Adamawa state with Governor Fintiri running from pillar to post in a manner that depicts confusion and devoid of strategic thinking. How then would Burguma explain the recent policy surmasaults, the plan to deploy senior civil servants as polling unit agents and threats been served to anybody in sight if not for the fear of loosing the Governorship election by the PDP?
In a recent interview with the BBC Hausa service the PDP in Adamawa says it is going into the Governorship election knowing fully well that it is up against a formidable, strong, strategic and grassroots politician but Burguma is here swimming in his illusive and self serving prediction.
We call on all Adamawa voters to redouble their commitment to vote for Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani as Governor come Saturday 18th March, 2023.
Evaluating Binani's commitment to Education, Health, Women and Youths empowerment, sports Development, promoting peaceful coexistence, supporting all religions and poverty eradication as a legislator is a pointer to the good days that await the people of Adamawa State when they vote her as Governor.
Better days lie ahead with Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani as Governor of Adamawa State.
