Gov. Jibrilla Dissolves 19 LG. Council Chairpersons By Billy Graham Abel Yola. The Adamawa state governor, Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla has approved the dissolution of 19 local government council chair persons in Adamawa state. The dissolution which takes effect from the 31st of July, 2018 is in line with the local government council law No.4. 2000 of the 1999 constitution as amended. This is contained in a press statement signed by the Adamawa state Commissioner of Information and strategy, Ahmed Sajoh, and made available to Newsmen, Tuesday. "The tenure of the 19 local government council chairmen ends today 31st July 2018 having been sworn-in on the 30th July, 2016," the statement said. While thanking the out going chairpersons, the governor expresses his appreciation for their contributions in developing their areas and directed that they hand over administration of their councils to their respective Head of Services.
