The police during the crackdown killed 3 of the criminal elements, rescuing four kidnapped residents of Holma and Sorou communities in Song and Maiha local governments respectively, recovered 2 AK-47 rifles and a pomp action gun, among other items. This is contained in a press statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer,  Suleiman Nguroje, over the weekend in Yola, Adamawa' state. The police command said it has rescued four persons unharmed including, a 50 year old woman, Hafsatu Musa, two 20 year old men, Idirisa Hammadu and Abdul Adamu and a 22 year old, Musa Hammadu from the den of the kidnappers. Daily Rendezvous  Former Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has declared that the 2023 elections will be all about religion, started by the All Progressives Congress (APC). Lawal spoke at the APC Northern Christian Leaders Summit Abuja 2022, on Friday. Absolving Christians from bringing religion into Nigerian politics, Lawal warned that the ruling party should be ready for the consequences of a same faith ticket in 2023.
