Gov. Fintiri Dissolves Management Board Of Adamawa United FC

Daily Rendezvous Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the dissolution of the management of Adamawa United Football Club. Governor Fintiri who commended the management for working hard to nurture the club and take it where it is today, said Government will not allow the club go down but will ensure it consolidates on the gains so far. He noted that the need to  inject fresh blood and latest techniques as well as also reinvigorate and restore the loss glory of the game of soccer, informed Governments decision. While thanking the management for accepting to serve in that capacity that enabled them to contribute to the growth of the game of soccer in Adamawa, the Governor notes that the dissolution is with immediate effect and the management is to hand over all Government property and documents to the ministry immediately.

Daily Rendezvous The Community Led Collective Action for Girl-child Education, (C-CAGE) has raised the alarm over the deplorable situation at a Girls-Only school in Pare, Numan, where a 500 plus Government Girls Secondary School, has sharply declined to a School with only 17 students and 7 teachers. C-CAGE said, its investigation shows that the school lacks basic WASH facilities, delapidated structures, lacks perimeter fencing and that the area where the school is located has been a subject of conflict in the past. The organisation said, there is an urgent need for government to restore the school to its lost glory and include the plan to revamp the school in the 2022 budget in order boost the female chilld access to safe and qaulity education. AUN Student Develops a Financial Transaction App “Zinger Wallet”

Daily Rendezvous A final-year Software Engineering student of the American University of Nigeria (AUN), David Edijala, has launched an innovative new payment platform: “Zinger Wallet.”  This app was created to address problems with payment methods in Nigeria, especially with cash, bank transfers, and POS machines. “Zinger Wallet” allows businesses to receive payments in a reliable, quick, and cheap manner while providing easy management of staff, departments, and customers. Currently, cash transfers require payments to be transferred to the bank, raising security issues and the possibility of human error. Bank transfers are inconvenient for medium and large businesses since someone is not always around to verify transactions, such as in large stores, and networks can fail, causing long delays.  With POS machines, network problems arise, and cash is not always readily available. Daily Rendezvous Armed policemen were seen on Wednesday, to have taken over the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress national Secretariat in Abuja. Armed policemen on Wednesday took over the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja. Four (4) patrol vans were positioned at entry and exit points of the building located at Blantyre Street in the Wuse 11 area of the Federal Capital Territory. The Rendezvous gathered that the police was drafted to the APC headquarters to forestall possible breakdown of law and order. There were reports that aggrieved party members planned to stage a protest against the party’s leadership over the recently conducted ward, local government and state congresses.

NHF Allocates $23.8 million to Tackle Food Humanitarian Crisis for Over 2 Million Displaced Person's in Borno, Adamawa, Yobe

Daily Rendezvous At a time of unprecedented humanitarian needs, funding shortfall, COVID-19, and climate shocks, the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund (NHF) is allocating $23.8 million to 75 eligible humanitarian partners, including national non-governmental organisations, to help them address critical humanitarian needs and ensure that essential assistance reaches people affected by conflict, food insecurity, inclement weather  and disease outbreaks in north-east Nigeria. Daily Rendezvous Adamawa State Governor, Rt.Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has expressed his condolences to the families and Colleagues of Brigadier General Dzarma Zirkusu and three other Soldiers killed in battle against Insurgents.  General Zirkusu was the Officer commanding the 28 Task Force Brigade in Chibok, Borno State.  The Insurgents had launched an attack on an Army Base  in Askira Uba Local Government area of Southern Borno killing the General and three others. The Appropriation Bill which was tagged, "The Budget of Sustainable Hope" for 2022 Fiscal year is made up of recurrent expenditure of N98.9 Billion, representing 60% of the total Budget while the balance of N64.8 billion is for Capital development projects representing 40%.
