Daily Rendezvous The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, (ASUP) has issued a one month warning to the president Muhammadu Buhari led APC government to urgently keep its promise of releasing N15 billion revitalization funds it promised the union or it will be faced with strike action by the union. The union said, its staff are also owed minimum wages backlog dating back to 31st December, 2019. The national president of the Union, Anderson Ezeibe made this known at a press briefing at the end of its 102nd NEC meeting held at the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, Thursday, in Adamawa state. Daily Rendezvous One of Adamawa's longest serving Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member, Dr. Umar Ardo, has dumped the party to join the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Adamawa state. Ardo who was at his Yelli ward in Kojoli, Jada Adamawa state, has officiallly tendered a letter of resignation from the PDP citing impunity, injustice and dishonesty as intelerable traits that have come to characterise his former party and that they were the anomalies he had to contend with since 2011. Daily Rendezvous The relentless wave of killing spree has continued in the far northern part of Nigeria in Kaduna and Zamfara where over 60 lives have been killed and properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed. Twenty-five persons, including two military personnel, were reportedly killed, while a riot policeman allegedly shot a passerby and no fewer than 70 houses were razed on Sunday following an attack by terrorists on Agban Kagoro in Kaura LGA of Kaduna State. Similarly, in Zamfara State, bandits were reported to have killed 37 persons and kidnapped 62 others in Juyi and Doruwa villages in the Bungudu Local Government Area, while 20 others were killed in Ganar-Kiyawa village in the Bukkuyum Local Government Area on Saturday.
