Daily Rendezvous A non-governmental organisation, Emmanu Global Foundation inspired the current economic harsdship and reality faced by millions of Nigerians as a result of the severe hunger and frustrations experienced in the country and the need to bring succour to humanity, has flagged-off the distributions of food and non food items across the 21 local Government areas of Adamawa state. The flag-off ceremony which was held in Kala'a, Hong local government area of Adamawa state was designed to reach about 30,000 vulnerable residents of Adamawa state with specific emphasis on people living with disabilities, the extremely poor, among other vulnerable members of the Adamawa society. The Mission reminds all parties involved of their responsibility under international law to protect civilians.   All parties must preserve the security gains achieved in recent years and address differences through dialogue The Mission is also concerned about the possible impact of these developments on the ongoing efforts to cultivate a security environment that is conducive to advancing the political process, including preparations for national elections.   UNSMIL calls for immediate de-escalation and an end to the ongoing armed clashes.
