Daily Rendezvous The Adamawa state university, has fixed 2nd of February, 2021 as the tentative date for school resumption. The date was scheduled following an emergency Senate meeting held 14 January, 2021. This is contained in a press statement issued by the university information and protocol officer, Belmond Benson, and made available to newsmen, Thursday, in Yola, Adamawa state.   The statement reads, "The Adamawa State University Senate has approved Tuesday, 2nd February, 2021 as the tentative date for reopening of the Institution for resumption of Academic activities.    "The date was approved by the Senate at an emergency meeting held today 14th January, 2021."   The statement adds that, "It should be noted that all non-pharmaceutical COVID-19 protocols would be strictly observed everywhere on campus and every student must undertake to abide by all the COVID-19 protocols both within and outside the campus.    "Students are ex...

Daily Rendezvous The member Representing Gombi constituency in the Adamawa state house of Assembly, Kefas Japheth, has criticised federal government's negligence of his community as it has been attacked repeatedly by some suspected Boko Haram insurgents. Kefas said, the incessant attacks on Garkida has left the entire Gombi local government in distress and members of the community hopeless over governnents failure to halt repeated attacks on their community or apprehend members of the armed group. The project will be financed from the Bank's Transition Support Facility and will be implemented over a five-year period by the Chadian Ministry of National Education and Civic Promotion, in coordination with partners involved in the education sector, civil society organisations, and youth organisations. Daily Rendezvous A 33-year-old suspect, Hassan Ebere, has  revealed how he has been selling dead poultry products to unsuspecting Borno residents has been arrested by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps. The suspect, Hassan Ebere, confessed that he has sold over 6,000 dead poultry to residents of Maiduguri within five years so as to raise money for his livelihood since he lost his father.
