"With Inevitable Defeat Staring them on the Face, Tinubu, APC Resort to 'Blu Bla' Propaganda"-Atiku's Aide Fires At APC

Image
Daily Rendezvous We have read with bemusement a certain story published in the Saturday, 4 February edition of The Nation newspapers captioned: Atiku, Fintiri in silent war.  Without so much ado, it is necessary that we put it on record that every aspect of the so-called story in all material particular is a figment of the writer's imagination.  However, it is not surprising that The Nation newspaper, which is basically a newsletter for the APC and its presidential candidate, will throw all ethics of journalism to the wind in coming up with such whimsical fabrication. For the avoidance of doubt, the relationship between the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and his home governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri is cordial as ever. It is also not surprising that the APC, in reading the handwriting of their impending defeat on the wall in bold reliefs, have resorted to sponsoring propaganda, the only thing they are good at doing,...

RE: Peter Obi Will Beat Atiku,Tinubu in Adamawa and Nigeria: Ignore Fake News of Diverted Campaign Funds- Shanti Charges Obidients

Daily Rendezvous  A Response to Maigari's Tantrums titled "HOW MRS SHANTI AND SELECTED GROUP POCKETED MOBILIZATION FUNDS RALLY IN ADAMAWA STATE" The attention of a Labour Party chieftain, Hon. Shanti Sashi has been drawn to a malicious and mischievous publication circulating in the media peddled by one Joseph Enan Maigari, over claims that Selected group and some notable members of the Labour Party campaign council, have collected and diverted some said amount of money to the tune of about N70 million. The said claim is false,  mischievous and also misleading. I believe the author of this opinion is one of the paid agents sent to distract Obidients in Adamawa from the success and gains made in pushing forward the Obi/Datti agenda that has gained wide acceptance among our people despite their campaign of calumny and merchandise in fake news and misinformation. While it is common in other political parties to peddle huge cash around for vote buying and sundry ex...

LOOMING GLOBAL INFLATION AND THE IMPLICATION OF FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL FOR AFRICA

Image
Daily Rendezvous  Ishioma Emi for Ventures Africa  International lenders such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have issued warnings of a potential global recession. This situation would be particularly dire for emerging economies, particularly those in Sub-Saharan Africa. A depreciating currency and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine are causing instability in the global market, leading to food insecurity and slowing developed economies. Last September, the World Bank, in a press release, noted how central banks around the world have been raising interest rates with a degree of synchronicity not seen over the past five decades—a trend that is likely to continue well into 2023. Yet “the currently expected trajectory of interest-rate increases and other policy actions may not be sufficient to bring global inflation back down to levels seen before the pandemic. Investors expect central banks to raise global monetary-policy rates to al...
