HERDSMEN ATTACK: GOV. BINDOW'S AIDE DELIVERS RELIEF MATERIALS TO  AFFECTED COMMUNITY

Special Assistant to the Adamawa state on Media and publicity affairs, Mr Martins Dickson, has on Sunday donated assorted relief materials to the Adamawa community (Gwamba) devastated by herdsmen attack.

According to Dickson Gwamba community which loss more than 35 members of its community in the herdsmen attack and had more than 3000 of its residents displaced is in dire need of help and humanitarian assistance.

Martins say the donation was meant to help alleviate the suffering of the people of Gwamba and help them back on their feet again.

Martins told Gwamba community that he felt compelled to associate with his people in their suffering and called on all well meaning members of the community ti extend their support to the community in order to ease their suffering.

Dickson while delivering the relief materials commended Governor Jibrilla for the privilege to work within the government that has granted him the opportunity to assist and identify with his people in their times of need.

He called on the people to continue to pray and trust in God for an end to herdsmen attacks in the area as the governor is committed to seeing an end to the crisis in the state.

The representative of the Murum Mbula, Magajin Mbula, Johnson Ajiya, described the attack in the area as unfortunate incident that has caused unbearable suffering to the community and that the donation will go a along way in helping the people.

Sole Administrator of Borrong State Development Area, Gashon Andrawus, commended the kind gesture of the adviser to the governor saying the items donated are essential in addressing the immediate needs of the victims as many of them lack clothing and beddings as they have been sleeping outside since the attack.

The District Head if Gwamba, Josiah Umaru said, the people are proud and appreciative of the gesture and described Mr. Martins as worthy son of the land and called on other members of the community to learn from his kind gesture.

Yanwuri Fwah a resident of the community and the former counselor for Works, Comrade Jonah John, explained that Mr. Martins Dickson was the first to provide immediate financial aid to the community to take care of the victims when attack happened.

Martins Dickson later visited and condoled with the family of late APC executive member in Demsa, Redu Yaji, Who was killed during the attack.
