Adamawa APC Primary On Hold Over Security Concerns

Adamawa APC Primary On Hold Over Security Concerns

By Billy Graham Abel Yola

The Adamawa state APC gubernatorial primary has been put on hold over security concerns raised by some of the party stakeholders with regards the choice of venue for the primary.

The primary which was scheduled to be held at the Mahmood Ribadu Square, has been faulted by party stakeholders who felt the venue is too opened, and miscreants can take advantage of the short porous nature of the venue to disrupt the party exercise.

Earlier on the committee to conduct Adamawa state gubernatorial primary have arrived and have been meeting with all the key stakeholders in the party.

The seven man committee which is chaired by Yerima Giade and Chris Darisu as Secretary, has Romeo Shaibu Omoike, Adamu Abba, Wakil Ahmed Sarki, Richard Agowa and Abdullahi Hawa Yusuf as members.

As at the time of filing this report, it is not yet clear as to whether the primary would hold and if it would hold, the venue is still a contentious matter.
