Council Administrator Sues for Peace among Herders and Farmers Community

Girei Local Government of Adamawa state,is one of the local governments that suffered attacks and reprisal attacks among the settlers of the area who have been there living in peace with one another for years.
The administrator Girei local Government Alh. Ibrahim Babayola, described the attacks as unfortunate,urging the inhabitants of the area to unite and fight their common enemy.
Ibrahim Babayola,appreciated the state and the Federal Government for taking a decisive measures towards ending the scourge.
The council administrator, further calls on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgent public importance to call Cameroonian authorities to order for releasing water from Lagdo dam without proper notice being issued to Nigeria on time to help them evacuate the people and their belonging residents within the water prone areas.
Babayola adds that the action taken by Cameroonian authorities affected most of his people settling along river bank,and that he has inaugurated a nine man committee to look into the situation and report back to the council in two weeks for possible action,he appreciates the state and the Federal Government for providing the dividends of democracy to the electorates.
Babayola urged the people of Girei,to always support government so as to continue to reap the dividends of democracy at all times.
