The cloud of uncertainty continues to hover over Adamawa governorship primary as the arrival of the NWC appointed Tijanni Ahmed led governorship primary committee late Thursday has only plunged the controversial APC primary in the state into yet another crisis as the officials to conduct the primary are no where to be found in most of the venues visited.
The governorship primary in the state could be described as nothing short of total anarchy as there were no electoral officials in any ward to conduct the primary.
As at the 7 pm, Friday, there was no presence of officials for the primary elections at Mbamoi ward in Yola town, after the officials were said to have been deployed to designated wards since noon, the Sun observes.
In most of the polling units within Yola town, there was only a crowd of anxious voters who painstakingly organized themselves into queues behind there preferred delegates, only to disperse due to absence of officials.
One of the aspirants, Mahmood Halilu Ahmed after visiting his ward in Yola town confirmed that there was no elections or official to conduct the primary.
Mahmood said, "As you can see, there are no officials here and we have been waiting to exercise our franchise but no one is here for the primary."
In the Mubi, the hometown of the governor, Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, elections is yet to commence as the committee is yet to arrive Mubi.
One of the aspirants, Nuhu Ribadu also confirms that there were no officials or elections held in his ward.
