By Billy Graham Abel Yola
The governorship candidate of the All Blending Party, ABP, in Adamawa state, Daniel Shaga Ismaila, has condemned the cold blooded murder of a reknown Adamawa physician, Mwagim Malgwi and his wife, Elizabeth Malgwi.
Daniel Shaga decribed that killing as, "Callous, dastardly and reckless attempt..to Keep Adamawa people in fear."
Daniel Shaga Ismaila said, "It is with a heavy heart and a deep sense of loss that I interface with you, members of the press, and indeed the general public on a very sad and trending development in our dear state, Adamawa.
"The shocking news of the sudden loss of a prominent physician and elder statesman, Dr. Mwajim Malgwi, the proprietor and Chief Medical Director of Freedom Poly~Clinic Yola, and his dear wife Mrs. Elizabeth Malgwi is callous, dastardly and reckless. Dr. and Mrs. Malgwi were killed in their farm located somewhere near the city center and for no reason.
"The elderly couple were murdered in cold blood by "unknown gun men" a phrase in common use when innocent people are murdered in cold blood. Gentlemen, this is one attack and murder too many, and it is not acceptable. We refuse the intimidation to keep us under constant fear.
"Dr Malgwi is a highly respected and selfless gentleman whose medical services has touched a life or two in almost every home in Adamawa state, and without doubt he will be greatly missed by his clients, community, all and sundry.
"I wish to draw the attention of all Security Agencies operating in the state and to appeal to, especially the Commissioner of Police, the Director of State Services (DSS), the Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security organizations to collaborate, work in tandem, to track down and bring to book the killers of Malgwi and his wife and indeed perpetrators of all criminal acts in and around the state.
"It is important that there should be a deterrent against reckless criminal activity in the state capital and all rural communities in the state to create needed environment for meaningful activities, progress and prosperity.
"Permit me to also extend my sincere and heartfelt condolences to all members of the Malgwi family. I commiserate also with his professional community, friends and associates of the renown physician who has spent his most of his active life serving humanity. May their souls rest in peace."
