Buhari has Taken Corruption War to a New Level-Ribadu

By Billy Graham Abel Yola

The newly appointed national director of feild operations of the Buhari/Osinbanjo campaign council, Nuhu Ribadu, said, president Muhammadu Buhari has taken the war against corruption in Nigeria to a level never seen in the world as over one thousand corruption cases are being prosecuted and high level government officials are being convicted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Nuhu Ribadu made the remarks at the flagging off of campaign for the reelection bid of Buhari in Yola, Adamawa state.

Nuhu Ribadu said for the first time in the history of his political involvement, he is happy with what he is doing because it is exactly what he wants to do.

He explained that, Buhari has succeeded in intervening in the critical sectors of the country and Nigeria now is in one of the surest times and the best of times in its political journey as the future is bright and the path is clear for Nigerian children.

He lauds president Muhammadu Buhari's infrastructural drive which he said has made life meaningful for the people of the state saying about ten local governments in the state would soon be linked by federal roads besides social safety nets programs and that major road network linking the state are already under construction by the president Buhari government after several decades of disrepair and neglect.

He notes with emphasis that local governments in Adamawa state are being enpowered by federal roads, a position which is an open affront to Bindow's claim of creating road networks in the state.

Ribadu slammed politicians who continue undermine Buhari's achievement by saying his projects were only an extension of the work of previous governments projects.

Ribadu said, "The  question we should ask is why were those projects not completed then?

"Having a vision is not a criteria for  success and no one ever takes credit for dreams because only those who have the guts and determination to execute and implement projects should take credit for it."

Ribadu said, "Corruption has never been faught at the level it is faught now in Nigeria.

"Nigeria under president Muhammadu Buhari is prosecuting over one thousand corruption cases which is the highest in the world and the conviction cases are unprecedented."

However, the Ribadu led Buhari reelection bid was clouded with with issues from the fallouts from the APC primary in the state as the campaign narratives failed to recognised governorship ambition of Muhammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, which is a major setback for the governor as all the speakers at the occasion distanced themselves from Governor Jibrilla's second term quest.
