BINDOW BLOCKED PLANS TO SET UP RICE MILL IN SOUTHERN ADAMAWA- PATRICIA.

A senatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress Party, ADC in Adamawa State, Patricia Yakubu has blasted the Adamawa State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, for blocking efforts made to established the TIGNO rice milling industry by some Americans and depriving the people of southern Adamawa its benefits.

Patricia made the remarks during the Ward-to-ward visit of the ADC party in Lamurde, Adamawa State.

Speakinga during the visit to Tigno  town in Lamurde Local Government Area, she said, "When I was the commissioner for agriculture, I proposed the establishment of the rice milling industry including the tarring of a 50km Lafiya-Lamurde- Suwa road.

"But the proposed industry was frustrated by the State Governor who refused to allow the American investors to established the project in Tigno."

Yakubu pointed out that the Tigno  industry and construction of 50KM road network would have been completed if the Governor had not blocked her efforts to bring development to the area.

She said if elected senator she would pick up the establishment of the rice milling industry as a top priority of the ADC Government.
