Ramadan: Hon. Namdas Gifts Food Items to Constituents, Task Citizens to Pray For Peace

As Muslims all over the world begin the 30-day of the Ramadan fast, the member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulrazaak Namdas has reached out to members of his constituency with food items.

Namdas who is representing Ganye, Jada, Tongo, and Mayo-Belwa federal constituency has maintained this gesture since assuming office in 2015.

Represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Sanda Husseini, the federal lawmaker tasks Muslim faithful to use the period of Ramadan to show love, tolerance and give alms to those in need.

"Today we are registering the first day of the Ramadan fast as a Muslim, it is enjoined on us to demonstrate the spirit of life to one another and give alms to the needy. It is born out of the realization that Hon. Namdas felt the need to reach out to the people.
"This is a period for us to redefine ourselves in terms of having love and sympathy towards one another, song away with hatred, and imbibing the spirit of tolerance. Patience is a key to having peaceful coexistence. It is expected that every member of Nigerian society should learn to be tolerant to each other, b law-abiding, and very prayerful," Namdas said.

Namdas who has declared his intention to run for the governorship position of Adamawa state in the forthcoming 2023 elections said he still has an obligation to his constituency whom he is currently representing, hence the need for the distribution of the food items at this moment.

He urged Muslims and all citizens
to pray for peace and an end to the myriad of security challenges bedeviling the nation.

"I urge us all to use this period of Ramadan fast to pray to God Almighty to see us through all these challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, insecurity, banditry for us to have a peaceful Nigeria," he added.

The items distributed include bags of rice, sugar, pasta among others.
