The former permanent secretary and the 2019 Adamawa State Transition Committee chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Isma'ila Numan, has described the passing on of Ahmed Joda as the loss of an 'incredible Permanent Secretary' and an outstanding human being committed to the success of his country and its people.
Isma'ila said, "I received the news of the death of our pioneer Alhaji Ahmed Joda with deep shock and sadness.
"Ahmed Joda, CFR, was an accomplished elder statesman, journalist of distinguished repute and a seasoned administrator par excellence.
"His track record in public service remains unmatched, his patriotism in the service of Nigeria, was a virtue all public office holders should emulate.
"As a young man, Joda picked great interest in my career, mentored me and imparted the culture of discipline, integrity and hard work into every facet of my personal and professional life.
"These virtues became my guiding principles in my career path and growth through the ranks until I was a permanent secretary.
"I was blessed by this super human being."
Isma'ila Numan added that, "We have lost one of the finest statesmen of our time, a complete administrator and a role model to those of us who admire decency and decorum in public service.
"May God almighty grant his soul eternal rest, and give his immediate family the needed fortitude to bear his irreparable loss.
"I will also like to extend my deepest sympathy to President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, the governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the entire people of Adamawa State, the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, the family of Ahmed Joda, friends and well wishers and also pray that God grants them the required grace to bear such a huge loss.
"Farewell, Alhaji Joda, CFR."
Signed,
Alhaji Aliyu Isma'ila Numan
