Demsa2023: I Will Make Demsa Work for All- Yanathan Martins Declares

The former media assistant to the former governor of Adamawa state and broadcaster, Martins Yanatham Dickson has declared to run for the member representing Demsa at the Adamawa state house of Assembly come 2023.

Martins who made the decarationl while marking is birthday, Sunday.
Yanatham said, when elected  he would be the voice that the people of Demsa needed in the state house of Assembly. He further said that he would pursue the interest of all Demsa people, this, turning around the fortunes ot his community to be one of the best in the country.

Martins made this known in a statement he personally signed on Sunday.

Martins said, "On this very important and significant day of my life, which is my birthday, I wish to officially and without mincing words publicly declare my intent to contest for Member Representing Demsa Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly in the forthcoming 2023 election.

"This noble intent is  thrown exclusively on the independent voters of Demsa Constituency and when elected they will have conferred a favor upon me, for which I shall be unrelenting in my labors to compensate."

He addss that, "With love for my constituency and a fierce commitment to a vision of rapid progress for the people and following a wide-ranging consultations, I offer myself to serve you as the Member Representing Demsa Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

"I seek the opportunity to offer Demsa a visionary, result-oriented, purposeful, inclusive and competent leadership to build the future.

"We have to start regenerating our leadership positions with competent, patriotic, humble and experienced Youths. 

"People who have prepared themselves with the relevant experience, exposure and qualifications must take over the mantle of leadership because this struggle is about the future of Demsa Constituency not its past.

"I am confident that together, we can create a New path, Together, we can set a Good agenda. Together, we can deliver for ourselves a positive outcome.Demsa! we can do this, let's get to work."

Rolling out some  of his plans he said,  "1. First, all my constituents will have unfettered access to me, directly and through ward liaison officers, the programs and activities of the Government that directly concerns them will not be strange to my constituents, they will have opportunity to make inputs , this is key in not only ensuring participation in Governance but building confidence and carrying all my constituents along.

"2. Secondly, I will attend sittings without fail. My people will see me in the House, hear my voice clear and loud, and have me champion their causes both those of individuals, communities and the entire constituency. The era when no one speaks and stand for us will be over with my presence in the house.

"3. Thirdly, I will provide my constituents consistently the linkage with Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the State Government as well as other private establishments for employment, skills development and entrepreneurship.

"4. Fourthly, I will capture the infrastructural needs of my people and ensure they are listed in the budget yearly on the floor of the house. I will lobby the executive arm of Government to achieve this as well as my colleagues to ensure my projects are passed. Thereby attracting State presence in my constituency.

"5. Fifth, I will be sponsoring relevant bills (People centered) that will improve the quality of life of Demsa people.

"6. Sixth, my constituency projects will be traceable, visible, valuable and useful to all our people in Demsa.

"7. Seventh, I will use my office to ensure the protection of the rights to freedom and liberties of my constituents."
