- I Will Trickle Down Prosperity to All Adamawa People-Wafari Promises

One of the leading gubernatorial contenders of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa, Wafarninyi Theman, has promised to set up a system of government that will ensure prosperity for the people of Adamawa and create opportunities for every talent to flourish in the state.

Wafari said, Nigerians and the people of Adamawa have doubts about democracy due to years of sustained bad leadership but his government will bring into reality the essence of government of the people by prioritizing programmes in poverty alleviation, youth empowerment, economic development, infrastructural transformation and sports and entertainment designed to benefit all indigenes of Adamawa.

Wafari made the remarks at the official flagging-off of his governorship campaign in Yola, Adamawa state

Speaking on his vision for Adamawa state Wafari Theman said he will work to create a "Common humanityand build bridges to All People." 

The pharmacist turned politician said, "I am coming to the table with innovative campaign of change and hope, a change that proves that a government of the people, by the people and for the people is possible. 

"A change that will put our people back to prosperity and open doors of opportunity for all. A change that will promote the course of peace and reaffirm that fundamental truth, that we are one."

Speaking on the need to create an inclusive government he said, "I am committed to putting Adamawa on a bright and positive path to the future.

"We must create grassroot structures that would hold leaders accountable. 

"Poverty and underdevelopment have no ethnicity or religion. It is mot confined to any specific geographical location. Our mindset will be that of progress and human dignity."

Wafari said he would be committed to pursuing, human capital development, job creation, health and environment issues, security and the promotion of good governance, infrastructure development, education and technology, agriculture and food security, sports, entertaient and tourism."

The venue of the event, Lelewal hotel, in Yola, was cramped with a massive crowd  All Progressives Congress (APC) party loyalist pulled from across the twenty one local government of the state.

Wafari said, he is in a poll position to bring in the much needed change that Adamawa indigenes need and to bridge the continues gap between the rich and the poor when he becomes governor.

The Director-General of the Wafari  campaign team Musa ...said all these groups under the APC banner are strong members of the party some of the delegates have found Theman as the best candidate in the party to fly the flag of the party.

The APC Adamawa State Organizing Secretary Mustapha Atiku Ribadu commended the youths for finding Wafari Theman as worthy of adoption.

He said the party believed in a free and fair contest in all elective positions and that Wafari Theman stands a chance to hoist the governorship flag of the party. Ribadu commended Wafari for always helping the party saying all the furniture at the Adamawa State APC office was donated by the party starlwart, he called for more support for the candidate.
