Alhaji Ismaila Aliyu Felicitates With Muslim Ummah on Eid-El-Fitr

Daily Rendezvous
The former Chairman, Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's Transition Committee and former Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Defense, Alh. Aliyu Ismaila, has extended his heart-felt season greetings to all Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and especially in Adamawa state, over the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

Aliyu said, as the Ramadan fast comes to an end, he prays that all prayers and supplications made during the Ramadan fast by Muslim faithfuls will be answered and that the lessons learnt will be appropriated in our daily lives onward. He also enjoins Muslims to use the occasion to spread kindness, compassion and the message of peace and unity that Islam stands for.

Aliyu said, "Nigeria is a nation that is deeply rooted in faith and as people of faith, we must learn to pray for our leaders, our country and its people, especially for our President Muhammadu Buhari, for his patience and for wisdom to deal with the hydra-headed security situation that the country currently grapples with, so that we will continue to enjoy peace especially for areas in our country that have been overwhelmed with violent conflicts as a result of armed attacks in the north east, north west and other parts of our country, for Allah to bless us with peace and happiness."

He also tasked Nigerians, "To pray to Allah to guide our country heading into the 2023 general elections, that Nigeria and Adamawa state will enjoy a peaceful conduct of elections and for Allah to bless our country with sincere, honest and visionary leaders that will steer the affairs of the country towards attaining its true potential."

Addressing politicians, Aliyu challenge them, "To go about their politicking above party lines to put aside their differences and put the country first above and beyond personal and party interest while cautioning politicians and political parties to exercise restraint and decorum in the cause of their campaigns and electioneering activities and to be committed to a peaceful conduct of their activities while also guiding their loyalist to exercise restrain, temperance and respect for their fellow citizens, which are important lessons of the Ramadan."

Aliyu notes that, "As the world celebrates the Eid-el-Fitr, muslims in Adamawa and Nigeria must imbibe all the lessons of Ramadan and appropriate the sacrifices made in the month of Ramadan into their personal lives in order to draw closer to Allah and to each other irrespective of our political, religious or ethnic divides.

"Nigerians must commit themselves to the welfare of their families, state and country and to pray especially for His Excellency, H.E. Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, to continue to lead Adamawa aright and for Adamawa to be blessed with good leadership at all levels for a sustained peace and all round success.

"Let us also used this occasion to pray for members of the armed forces, for protection, for courage and strength to curb the insecurity bedevilling the country. Nigeria Armed Forces are making tremendous sacrifices for the sake of keeping the country indivisible and united. Without the support of the general public in the areas of information sharing and prayers it will be difficult to address the security challenges as at when necessary.

"I have taken time in the cause of the Ramadan to pray for myself, our dear state Adamawa and our country Nigeria, for lasting peace, development and economic growth.

"I and my family wish the people of Adamawa and Nigeria, a very blissful sallah celebrations."
