SDP Extends its Warmest Sallah Seasons Greetings to the people of Adamawa

The leadership and members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Adamawa, heartily felicitate with all the Muslim Ummah and the entire people of Adamawa state on the occasion of this Year's Eid-el-Fitr.

The party congratulates all Muslim faithfuls over the completion of the one-month long Ramadan fast and prayers, praying that all the prayers and supplications made will be answered and that all the lessons learnt in the cause of the Ramadan, will become the daily character of all faithfuls.

While wishing all the faithfuls a happy Eid-el-Fitr, the party enjoins all residents to pray for peace, love and prosperity for our dear state Adamawa and our country, Nigeria.

This was made known to Newsmen during an interactive session by the State Organising secretary of the party, Abdulaziz Jibrillah, in Yola, Adamawa State.

Abdulaziz, while addressing the public task the people of Adamawa and Nigerians to used this moment of solemn dedication to Allah to pray for peace, unity and harmony in the country especially for our dear state Adamawa, that we may live peacefully as one family.

The party said, " The SDP is congratulating all Muslim faithfuls who have gone through a month-long season of prayers and learning, to inculcate the lessons learnt into every sphere of their lives. 

"Ramadan teaches us discipline, restraint and respect for our fellow citizens, let us continue in that spirit until it becomes the character we display on a daily basis."

Speaking on the state of the nation, the party said, "All citizens must be God fearing and commit their leaders in prayers for  God's guidance and direction. We must also in the spirit of the Ramadan pray that Allah will be merciful on Nigeria and Adamawa and deliver us from the engrained, systemic corruption and high-handedness that has eroded the basic fabrics of our society and prevented our country from economic growth and development.

"As we approach the 2023 general elections, let us pray to Allah for a peaceful conduct of the elections here in Adamawa and the nation at large. Let us also pray that Allah will bless this country with compassionate and visionary leaders that will turn the fortunes of the country around and bring about social, economic and industrial transformation."

The text adds that, "Our country has been pummeled by multi-faceted security challenges from bandits attacks, kidnappings and terrorism acts, let us pray that we will overcome all these and that Nigeria will be freed from the shackles of oppression of these kind and that country flourishes.

"We as a party will continue to pray for togetherness, acceptance and unity among our people.

"The SDP in Adamawa wishes you a very jouyous Sallah Celebration and prosperous days ahead.

"Happy Eid-el-Fitr from SDP."
