Daily Rendezvous
The frontline contender for the Gombi/Hong House of Representatives seat, Hon. Hyellagiziya Naiwa Fakuta, says, she is committed to touching the lives of her Constituents regardless of political leanings or cultural divide.

Fakuta who reached out to some of her constituents with a medical in Fota town in Gombi local government area of Adamawa state.

Fakuta said, politics is about service and being selfless and we have missed that.

The outspoken politician and ABU-bred chartered accountant said, "This medical outreach has nothing to do with politics, it's about my passion to touch lives.

"I have conteated for this seat and loss, but that does not mean when I have the opportunity to reach out to my community, I will not.

"I am doing all I can to reach out to so many helpless people in my community and that is all. And I honestly think that is where we missed it as a people.

"Our political space has been over-crowded with selfish people who can not give unless they have something in return.

"It is this attitude that has crippled the internal democracy in most of our parties and made the delegate system a rickety vehicle for the delivery of credible candidates at all levels because our party system has been turned into a greedy system of buy and sell. They dole out cash and demand loyalty and votes to emerge candidates of their parties even though they don't have the interest of the people at heart.

"That is the game-changing attitude we are bring to the table, we just take medical outreaches to communities that needed them most and walk away without turning it into a political event.
"We can't be playing politics with our constituents lives."
