Adamawa APC Reconciliation Committee Submits Final Report, Eyes Stronger Future Ahead of 2027 Elections
Yola, Nigeria
In a significant move toward party unity and political re-strategizing, the Adamawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Reconciliation Committee has officially submitted its final report, marking the conclusion of months-long efforts to mend internal rifts and unify divergent factions within the party.
The committee, chaired by Senator Mohammed Manna, was inaugurated late last year with the mandate to engage aggrieved members and reconcile differing political interests within the Adamawa APC. Over the course of its assignment, the committee met with various political stakeholders and groups, both within the state and in Abuja, aiming to foster dialogue, understanding, and renewed commitment to the party’s ideals.
During a brief but symbolic presentation on Wednesday, the committee handed over its report to the current leadership of the APC in Adamawa. The document encapsulates the outcomes of its extensive consultations and proposed steps for sustained unity and political progress.
With this milestone, party leaders believe the APC in Adamawa is now better positioned to consolidate its base and mount a more formidable campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections. The party has remained in opposition in the state for nearly six years.
Members of the high-powered reconciliation committee include:
Sen. Mohammed Manna – Chairman
Sen. Abubakar Girei – Member
Sen. Muhammadu Bello Tukur – Member
Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub – Member
Sen. Binta Masi-Garba – Member
Hon. Martin Babale – Member
Dr. Bridget Zidon – Member
Barr. Isa Baba – Secretary
The reconciliation effort is widely seen as a strategic step in rejuvenating the party’s grassroots structure, strengthening unity, and preparing for a comeback in the state's political landscape.
