Bwatiye Culture Fiesta: A Triumph of Heritage, Unity, and Vision - Turaki Batta, Ismaila
Yola, Nigeria – The recently concluded Bwatiye Culture Fiesta has been hailed as a monumental success and a proud reaffirmation of the rich heritage, identity, and unity of the Bwatiye people. In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Aliyu Isma'ila, the Turaki Batta, expressed deep pride and gratitude to the organisers for what he described as “a powerful and outstanding celebration of Bwatiye legacy.”
“What a resounding success it was!” he declared, commending the energy, creativity, and cultural pride that characterised the event. The Fiesta, he noted, was not merely a display of traditional splendour, but a meaningful reunion that reignited a shared sense of purpose, belonging, and resilience among the Bwatiye people at home and in the diaspora.
Describing the gathering as “a powerful reaffirmation of who the Bwatiye are — resilient, united, noble, and proud,” the Turaki praised the organisers, elders, youth, and traditional institutions for their unwavering dedication and vision. He further emphasised the importance of such events in fostering brotherhood, collaboration, mutual respect, and progress.
“May this gathering mark the beginning of a renewed era of unity, cultural revival, and enduring peace in our land,” Isma'ila added in his message.
Concluding with a passionate call for continued cultural preservation and collective advancement, he invoked the enduring spirit of Kwace Bwatiye, urging all to remain steadfast in upholding the traditions and unity of the Bwatiye people.
“Long live the Bwatiye people! Long live Bwatiye culture! Long live Bwatiye unity and future!”
The Bwatiye Culture Fiesta has now set a new benchmark in cultural celebration, with many already looking forward to future editions that will continue to celebrate and elevate the identity of one of Nigeria’s most vibrant ethnic nationalities.
