Adamawa Pilgrims Welfare Board Ramps Up Preparations for 2025 Easter Pilgrimage

Daily Rendezvous,  Yola, Nigeria The Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board has expressed satisfaction with the turnout and orderly conduct of intending pilgrims during the ongoing screening exercise for the 2025 Easter pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan. Speaking at the board’s headquarters in Yola during the exercise on Friday, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Chief Geoffrey Garba, described the process as smooth and commendable. He praised intending pilgrims for adhering to guidelines, especially by avoiding the inclusion of overage or medically unfit persons in their applications. Delivering judgment in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1523/2025, the court dismissed Abure’s case against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), affirming the commission’s position that his purported leadership and the controversial Nnewi convention of March 27, 2024, were illegal and inconsistent with both the Electoral Act and INEC’s guidelines. Daily Rendezvous  Yola — The Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that preparations for the 2025 Easter pilgrimage to Israel have reached an advanced stage, with 266 pilgrims from across the state set to participate in the spiritual journey. Speaking during a press briefing in Yola, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Chief Geoffrey Garba , expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his unwavering support towards the board’s activities, as well as to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to facilitating the annual pilgrimage. According to Chief Garba, one of the major areas of focus ahead of the trip is ensuring that all intending pilgrims possess valid international passports. Those whose passports have expired, as well as those without any, are urged to report to the Board’s office for assistance.
