NTAC Boss Dedicates “Most Outstanding Public Servant of the Year 2025” Award to President Tinubu

Daily Rendezvous
Abuja, Nigeria — November 5, 2025:
Director-General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Rt. Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub, has dedicated his award as “Most Outstanding Public Servant of the Year 2025” to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the honour as a testament to the President’s visionary leadership and support for excellence in public service.
Rt. Hon. Buba Yakubu made this known in a press statement issued by his Special Assistant (Media and Publicity), Nkem Anyata-Lafia

The award, presented during the 9th Nigerian Assembly Orientation and Awards Ceremony held on Wednesday at the National Assembly Library Trust Fund Hall, Abuja, recognised top-performing public servants in the non-legislative category across the country.
Speaking at the event, Publisher of Assembly News, organisers of the annual parliamentary awards, Prince Adeboye Omoboye, said Buba Yakub emerged as the winner following a national poll that identified him as a model of efficiency and integrity in public administration.
Omoboye commended the NTAC DG for his dedication to national development, especially for leveraging the Technical Aid Corps Scheme under the Tinubu Administration to enhance Nigeria’s global influence through soft power and development diplomacy.
In his acceptance speech, Rt. Hon. Buba Yakub expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for entrusting him with the responsibility to serve the nation, stating that the recognition belonged not to him alone but to the entire NTAC family and the administration that has supported their mission.
“This honour is, first and foremost, for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose leadership continues to inspire a renewed commitment to service and nation-building,” the NTAC boss declared. “I also thank the promoters of this award for their effort in preserving our national history and recognising excellence in governance.”
He emphasized the importance of such platforms in celebrating patriotic service, especially in an era when younger Nigerians are losing touch with the country’s developmental journey.
Earlier, while speaking on the theme “A New Nigeria,” Director-General of the Nigerian Orientation Agency (NOA), Issa Lanre-Onilu, urged citizens to embrace national responsibility in line with the agency’s 7-for-7 National Value Charter, which highlights both the “National Promise” and the “Citizens’ Code.” Onilu, represented by his Special Assistant on Media, Tolu Meduna, called for renewed patriotism and collective commitment to nation-building.
The event, which also honoured other distinguished Nigerians across various categories, ended with a collective pledge to strengthen parliamentary advocacy and media engagement as tools for a better Nigeria.
Accompanying the NTAC DG to the event were top officials of the Corps, including the Director of Administration, Amb. Yakubu Abdullahi Ahmed; Director of Programmes, Amb. Zakari Usman; Deputy Director and Head of Accounts, Mrs. Meimunat Haruna-Mustapha; Assistant Director and Head of Internal Audit, Mr. Adekola Lawal; Assistant Directors Mr. Mustapha Aliyu and Mr. Fehintola Adebowale, among others.
