"Let's Win Adamawa Together" Omarana Extends Olive Branch to Aggrieved Party Members
The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, Amb. Engr. Omar Suleiman (Dagaji/Omarana), has called on aggrieved members of the party to put aside their differences and unite behind a common goal of winning the 2027 governorship election and building a better Adamawa State.
In a reconciliation message following the party's governorship primary election, Dagaji acknowledged that the outcome of the contest left some aspirants, supporters and party faithful disappointed. He, however, appealed to them to look beyond the primary and embrace the spirit of unity, forgiveness and collective responsibility.
According to him, every aspirant who participated in the primary election contributed significantly to strengthening democracy within the ADC, adding that their sacrifices, experience and commitment remain valuable assets to the party.
"The primary election is over. Now is the time to come together as one family. Let us unite with one purpose and one vision. Together, we can win Adamawa and build a state that works for everyone," he said.
The ADC flag bearer urged party executives, youth and women groups, professionals, campaign volunteers and grassroots supporters across the state to reject division and bitterness in favour of reconciliation and teamwork.
Dagaji stressed that while democracy encourages healthy competition, the true strength of any political party lies in its ability to unite after internal contests.
"Our strength lies in our unity, not in our differences. I appeal to every member who may feel hurt or disappointed to return home. There is a place for everyone in this movement, and every contribution matters. Let's win Adamawa together."
He reaffirmed his commitment to an inclusive leadership style that values every stakeholder and gives all members an opportunity to contribute to the party's success.
The governorship candidate further urged party members to focus on strengthening the ADC across the state and mobilising support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He maintained that the vision of an "Adamawa That Works" can only be realised through unity, sacrifice and collective action.
Concluding his appeal, Dagaji called on party members to forgive one another, heal old wounds and remain focused on the bigger task ahead.
"History favours united movements. Let us reconcile, work together and move forward with confidence. The future of Adamawa is bigger than any individual. If we stand together, victory is within our reach."
The reconciliation message is seen as part of ongoing efforts to foster cohesion within the ADC as the party begins preparations for the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State.
