The winner of the southern Adamawa senatorial primaries of the PDP, Binos Dauda Yero has promised the people of the zone that he would be their voice at the national assembly saying the situation where mayhem and wanton destruction of lives and property have plagued the zone without the representatives speaking out has come to an end.

Binos made the remarks in his victory speech after emerging as the flag bearer of the southern zone of the PDP, Wednesday.

Speakingon his victory Binos Dauda Yero said, "By the grace of God and the will of the delegates, I have emerged the elected candidate of PDP for Adamawa South Senatorial District for the 2019 general elections, today, the people have spoken with their ballot papers and their voices have been heard resoundingly throughout the land.

"Indeed, it was not an easy contest and I am extremely humbled that our delegates have found me worthy to fly the flag of our great party, the PDP.

"This victory is not mine alone, it belongs to the people of Adamawa South and Adamawa State who desire a greater tomorrow."

Binos explained that, "The credibility of the process is a testament of our great party’s deeply entrenched respect for the rule of law, fairness and due process and this is a feat we must all be proud of.

"I want to use this medium to extend my hand of fellowship to my fellow contestants who by all standards are eminently qualified to also represent the party, to join hands with me and together make Adamawa South a much more peaceful and united place.

"The task ahead is a daunting one, which requires sacrifice, dedication and total commitment."

He called on the party faithfuls to, "...Eschew bitterness, rancor and selfishness and work hard, hand in gloves, to ensure victory for our great party in the 2019 general elections because a house divided against itself cannot stand."

The candidate said, "We shall give our people a voice by speaking up for them,  something which is completely lacking at the moment."

"As the outcome of this exercise sinks in, let us not forget to pray for the Peace of our dear State and Nigeria at large."

Binos who scored a total of 408 votes to beat his closest challenger, Grace Bent during the senatorial primaries elections, has called on his fellow contestants to support the candidacy of Atiku Abubakar for president and Ahmadu Fintiri as the governor of Adamawa state, to ensure that PDP gives Nigeria and Adamawa state the desired focus and development it deserves.

Binos who congratulated the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for emerging as candidate in the just concluded party's primaries.

He said, "I will also like to appeal to our delegates to the national convention to mobilize and vote for our own Wazirin Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar, whom I believe is the best choice for the PDP and Nigeria come 2019.

"Let us all join hands and work together for victory at the general elections so that our great party the PDP, will take over the government in Adamawa state and across the 36 states of the federation, as well as, at the National level."

The candidate then commended, the members of the electoral committee, his fellow contestants, security personnel, INEC observers and party members, for making the exercise a huge success.
